Now Available:
Fundamentals of Coaching Football is a two-hour course developed by USA Football, the sport's national governing body on youth and amateur levels.

It provides a student-centered curriculum on essential football coaching techniques and methods for interscholastic teacher/coaches. This course also shares practical methods for increasing student participation through effective feedback and stress reduction.

Fundamentals of Coaching Wrestling is a two-hour course developed by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

Also now available is Engaging Effectively with Parents, a one-hour course to support coaches in developing positive relationships with parents/guardians.

The NFHS is pleased to offer the following video resources for viewing or download: “Role of the Principal in Interscholastic Athletics” identifies the issues and challenges facing school administrators, and “Fueling Sports Performance” is a hydration video from Gatorade. The National Federation of State High School Association’s (NFHS) Fundamentals of Coaching course has been granted comprehensive accredited status for Level 3 for its coaching education program. The NFHS is the first coaching education program with a comprehensive distance education component to be accredited by NCACE.

The NFHS has successfully documented content identified in the National Standards for Sport Coaches and the NCACE Guidelines for program supervision, personnel, and operations and received some of the highest average scores in these areas.
