About the course
The content of this course is provided by Coach Beyond, a partnership between LiFEsports at The Ohio State University and the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
As a coach, your goal is to help children gain confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy their experience. This course is designed to help you provide an environment that is safe, fair, and fun to both teach sports and develop young people.
This course provides guidelines on teaching children sports skills and tactics and how to design practice exercises for them. It explains the process of developing young people by promoting safety, fun, inclusion, fairness, and respect, while helping them develop life skills.

NFHS National Coaching Credential
The NFHS Learning Center offers a 3-level national coaching credential that helps you gain knowledge you can use to provide a fun, educational, and a safer environment for your students.
This national credential was developed for individuals who are currently coaching or aspire to coach at the interscholastic level. The goal is to enhance the ability of the coach to better serve students, the school, the community, and the profession of coaching.
